Page 984:
"Monroe Township, Livingston County, MO., was one of the first settled in the county. On the night of the 12th of November, 1833, memorable as the date of the great meteoric shower, or as "the time when the stars fell," John Austin, James Austin, Abraham Bland, Zachariah Bland, Purmont Bland, Zachariah Lee, and Isaac McCoskrie camped on Shoal creek, and afterward entered land in this same township."

Zachariah Blann/Bland was listed as buying the Northwest 1/4 of section 10 on October 24, 1835.

He married Kisiah Ogle October 22, 1837 in Livingston county and together they raised a family of seven children, one of which was my gr-gr-grandfather Wiett Blann who died during the Civil War along with another brother, John Blann.

Zachariah and his family left Missouri after the 1860 census and are found in Lake Co., California where Zachariah registered to vote on May 18, 1867 at the age of 55, and died at the age of 61.
