Funeral services for Mrs. Theda Thomas, 83 of Shreveport, LA will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be Rev. James Hoover. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005 in Shreveport after a brief illness. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. She was a kind and gentle person and like a saint to those who knew her.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband Henry Thomas and son Donald Shannon Thomas.
Survivors include her daughter: Deborah "Debbie" Leabo and husband John of Shreveport, LA; 2 sisters: Gutha Mae Willis of Ferriday, LA and Esther Clark of Effie, LA; brother Barron Shannon and wife Birdie Lee of Vick, LA; 3 grandchildren: Nathaniel Flanders, Chelsea Houghton and Melody Bledsoe and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Tom Coody, Wayne Coody, Nathaniel Flanders, Ed Lytle, Mike Shannon and Irvin Thomas, Jr.
