Grant Reeve Olsen, 56, died on July 31, 2008 in Salt Lake City, UT.


He was born on December 28, 1951 in Salt Lake City to Emma Reeve and Grant Rasmussen Olsen. He married Jeanette Robinson on June 15, 1976, in the Salt Lake Temple. Grant grew up in Salt Lake City, attending East High School and the University of Utah, getting a BA in accounting. He served an LDS mission to Japan. He worked for the State of Utah as a Tax Auditor and at the Drivers License Division. He was a member of the Utah National Guard for 30 years serving as a Japanese linguist and an instructor in the Utah Military Academy. They have lived in Sandy for 30 years where they raised their three children. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings including ward organist, financial and membership ward clerks.


He is survived by his wife and children, Melissa (Bill) Bolton, Anna, and Grant Robinson, one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bolton and another granddaughter due anytime, sister, Sylvia (Michael) Kralik.


Friends and Family may call on Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah and one hour prior to services. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 12 at the Parkview Ward Chapel, 9800 South Eastdell Drive (2300 East).
Interment will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
