KL:
I suspect the twins were buried in New Hampshire & Sarah Ellen & Alvin moved to Iowa sometime between 1874 & 1880. Maud appears to have taken Alvin's surname. If you count the children Nellie had, there are 9. I assume she died birthing the last one (Herbert?).

The 1880 census Des Moines, Polk, Iowa:
Albin Yeaton 29
Ellen Yeaton 33
Maud Yeaton 12
Edith Yeaton 4

the 1885 census Des Moines, Polk, Iowa:

Not sure where Herbert went.
-------------------------------
Notice the last name on this gravestone-Samuel, son of A.G. & E.M. So Alvin married Emma between 1885 & 1892 & then moved back to New Hampshire between 1892 & 1895. Could not find any of this family in 1895 census.
