Harriet Emaline Gay, 91, Topeka, died Thursday, July 31, 2008.
She was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Ford County in the home of her grandmother to Orin and Della Anders Dewey. She graduated from Cimarron High School in 1935.
On March 27, 1935, she married Orron D. Gay in a double wedding ceremony with their friends Charles and Fay Naylor in Cimarron.
Mrs. Gay was a homemaker until her son left for college in 1966, and then she became the secretary to the superintendent and the school board in Holcomb until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
A graveside service was at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron.
