Rhoda was the daughter of William Ewing Lancaster and Amanda Wilson. On 13 December 1869 she married Elihu Chris Beckham. They had the following children: Ewing, Isolena Cassandra, Romulus Mayberry, Elvin Monroe, Dona May, Dow Malone, Minnie Catharine, and Alpha Rae.
