Caswell moved from near Jonesville (aka Bogansville) South Carolina to near Camden, Arkansas prior to 1860. During the Civil War or just after, he moved his family to Red River Co, Texas. In addition to his family, his son-in-law, Dr. Charles P Bogan, moved his family there. In the fall of 1869, both families moved to Hazel Valley, Washington Co, Arkansas. Caswell owned several tracts of land in Hazel Valley. He remained there until he sold out and moved to Prairie Grove to be near his daughter Fanny Bogan Mahan, wife of Dr. W. Mahan, Sr. --
