Mrs. Ruth Hurley Kramer, 75, of Frankfort, died Sunday afternoon at the Clinton County Hospital following a four-month illness.

Mrs. Kramer was well known for her work with church and with clubs and other organizations. She formerly had presented book reviews in Mulberry and various other parts of the state.

Mrs. Kramer received her collegiate training at Madam Blaker's Institute at Indianapolis and later attended Butler University. She formerly had taught at the old North Ward (now Lincoln) school.

She was born at Owasco, in Carroll County, on July 6, 1893, the daughter of Clyde P. and Rosa E. Hooker Hurley. Her parents formerly lived east of Mulberry on the Gas Line Road.

She is survived by the husband, J. Russell Kramer, to whom she was married June 6, 1917; one daughter, Mrs. Mary K. Beckett of Frankfort and three grandsons. A sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Hartman Funeral Home with Dr. Howard W. Kipp officiating. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
