Mr. William Marvin Scalf age 77, of Caldwell, Arkansas died Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Mr. Scalf was born July 10, 1931 in Gary, Indiana. He was the son of William L. Scalf and Ramona Guinn Scalf. Mr. Scalf was a member of the Cedar Hills Community Reform Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a past Kiwanian president, veteran of the army and was a businessman.

Mr. Scalf married Mary E. Simpson in 1954. She survives him along with a son, Scott Scalf of Colt; a daughter, Vicki DeWaide of Coto DeCaza, California; one brother, Dennis Scalf of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one sister of Abbington, Illinois. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
