United States Marine Corps Officer. The son of Brigadier General Jacob Zeilin, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps on December 19, 1871. Promoted to 1st Lieutenant on December 6, 1879, he died just a few months later on June 4, 1880.
