Mrs. Maria Christina Wunder, 76, of Lingle, died Wednesday, June 17, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 10, 1887 at Lauph, Russia. She was married December 30, 1909 at Gnadenfeldt, Russia, to George Wunder who died in 1945.

Mrs. Wunder came to the United States in 1923. In 1926 she moved from Scottsbluff to Lingle where she made her home until her death. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include five sons, George of Lingle, Harold of Scottsbluff, Rueben and Edward of Riverton and Conrad of Torrington; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Arndt of Torrington. Twenty-three grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive. Her husband and three children preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lingle Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Peter Koopman officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest. Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maria Christina Wunder will be conducted by the Rev. Peter Koopman at the Lingle Presbyterian church at 1:30 pm. Saturday. Burial will be made in Lingle's Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Wunder, 76, a long time resident of the Lingle community died at Goshen County Memorial hospital at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of 15 years.

She was born Dec. 10, 1887 at Lauph, Russia, the daughter of Margaret Law and Peter Lutz. On Dec. 30, 1909 she married George Wunder in Gnadenfeldt, Russia. They moved to the United States in 1923 settling in Scottsbluff. They moved to Lingle in 1926. Mr. Wunder died in 1945. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

Survivors include five sons, George, Lingle; Harold, Scottsbluff; Rueben and Edward, Riverton; Conrad, Torrington; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Arndt, Torrington. 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three children.
