PAUL L. SMITH
PARDEEVILLE - Paul L. Smith, age 68 of Pardeeville, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Madison after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Paul was born on June 11, 1933 in Waukegan, Ill., the son of Thomas and Maude (Miller) Smith. He served his country in the Army branch from November 1951 to November 1954 during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #10263. Paul was united in marriage to Charlotte L. Smith on November 9, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church in Portage. He worked for the Local Union #204 as a cement finisher. Paul, more affectionately known as Pauly, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He and his wife Charlotte have lived in Pardeeville for the past 32 years.
Funeral services for Paul Smith will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Pardeeville. Pastor John Campbell will officiate. Full military rites will be presented by the Pardeeville American Legion and VFW Posts. Friends and relatives may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Pardeeville on Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. until the services.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte of Pardeeville; seven children, Judy (Duke) Crawford of Portage, Paula (Tom) Schultz of Wisconsin Dells, Larry (Norma) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Barbara (Bert) Henkelman of Tinley Park, Ill., Steve and Jean Smith of Pardeeville, John Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, and Holly (Dan) Hannig of Pardeeville; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Jr., Leo and Edward; one sister, Mildred; nieces, nephews, other near relatives and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Louis
