Dina Kay Miller, 67, of Amarillo died Monday, July 28, 2008.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Cathy Gallagher, chaplain of Hospice of the Southwest, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Dina was born on July 15, 1941, in Amarillo to David and Lela Dodge. She graduated from Amarillo High School and then attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University, where she majored in modern dance. She went on to receive her cosmetology license and was a hairstylist, nanny and caregiver for many years. Dina especially loved music and dancing. She took great pride in her two children and grandson, and had a lifelong love for dogs.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lela and David Dodge; and a younger brother, David.

Survivors include a son, Roy Dan Deupree III of Amarillo; a daughter, Tammy Fulop of Denton; two brothers, Stan Dodge of Amarillo and Steve Dodge of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Judi Synek of Fredericksburg; an aunt, Pauline Watts of Fredericksburg; a grandson, David Deupree of Amarillo; a cousin, David Dodge of Seal Beach, Calif.; and her longtime companion and best friend, Jim Miller of Amarillo.

The family suggests Dina would be honored with memorials to Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79118.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
