GIGAX - John Charles Gigax, age 27, of Laredo, TX went to live with the Lord on Sunday November 7, 1999. John was born in San Antonio, TX and was a resident of Jacksonville, FL before moving to Laredo. John graduated from Fletcher High School in 1990, U.N.F. in 1993 with a BA degree in Criminal Justice, St. Augustine Criminal Justice Training Academy in 1995 and the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Charleston, SC in 1997. Before joining the U.S. Border Patrol, John was employed by Barnett Banking Company. He is survived by his loving wife, Ana Maria Moncayo-Gigax; his parents, Donald C. and Margarita Gigax; sister, Alice M. Gigax; brother, Gene R. Gigax; maternal grandparent, Mrs. Isabel Aroyo De Rubio, Ponce, PR; paternal grandparents, Boyd G. and Barbara Gigax, Hayes Center, NE; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family received friends on Saturday, November 13, 1999 from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the ARLINGTON PARK FUNERAL HOME. A funeral Service was held on Sunday, November 14, 1999 at 1:00 PM at East Pointe Baptist Church, 270 North Kernan Boulevard with Daniel S. Pride, Senior Pastor officiating. Interment followed in Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road
