What a woman; what a life! Wilma was the most happy, pleasant peron one could ever know. No one would ever guess she was a widow for just over 38 years and endured the death of four brothers killed in WW2.

Obituary: BRIGHAM CITY – Wilma Cleo Borgstrom Hawkes, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2008 at her daughter's home in Farr West. She was born on October 11, 1919 in Tremonton, Utah, a daughter of Alben and Gunda Petersen Borgstrom. She married Leslie Hawkes on March 4, 1939 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Leslie preceded her in death on July 22, 1970. She was a member of the LDS church and served on the Genealogy Committee, Relief Society Presidency and Relief Society Secretary, Primary Presidency, Primary secretary, teacher in the primary and was a visiting teacher and served in the Cub Scouts and 4-H. Wilma enjoyed making quilts, watching the Utah Jazz, traveling and being with her family. Surviving is one daughter, Annette (Steve) Duccini, Farr West; two sons, Richard L. Hawkes of Riverdale; Dennis L. (Crystal) Hawkes, Colorado Springs, Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Gloria and Susan, one great grandchild, seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
