She was born January 19, 1937 in Parlin, Colo., to Johnnie and Lola (Volgamore) Blickenstaff. She was raised and educated in southern California and the Western Slope of Colorado.
On April 9, 1959 she married the love other life and best friend, Robert Frank Potter. They met at a cafe in Delta, Colo.
She made her home wherever her husband was working which included the states of Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming.
In 1968 they settled in Casper, to raise their family.
She was a member of the Highland Community Church and enjoyed Women of the Word prayer study group.
She dearly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She participated in their lives and enjoyed watching them in sporting events and other activities.
Her first priority was raising her children.
She loved to cook and bake for her family during the holidays and other family gatherings.
She worked for several years as a sales clerk for Klines.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Frank Potter of Casper; children, Marcia Ann of Aurora, Colo., Bruce and his wife, and Sheryl and her husband of all Casper, and Shelley of Idaho; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ilene Brenton of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a daughter-in-law.
She was preceded in death by sons, Lance and Robert and her parents.
