Rachel was the daughter of Melvin and Sina (Wilkey) Dawson. Her husband was Abner Guy "Doc" Weathers. They had 13 children.

Dear Neice and Family,
I received your card and Letter. Sure surprised to hear from you. I got your card last chrsitmas, and ritten you a letter but you never did ans it So I didn't know what had become of you.
Well, Emmer, I will half to tell you the sad news. Your uncle Dock has passed away. He died on the 1 day of Oct. All of our children was home at that time. So of course they had so much expense to bear at that time I didn't expect many of them to come home for Christmas only the ones that live here.
Tressie and Ted and Loyd live here in town and Floyd and Ruby live out in the country but not far.
Shortie and Leo live in California, Dona and Ruth live in Arizona, and Cleao lives at Big Springs, Texas and Ethel lives in Eastern Okla.
The hole burial expenses was about $1200 so you know that was pretty steap. I am living alone now but wouldn't be satisfied any where else.
Hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas and will have a happy New Year.
Emmer is Doskie a widdow and how come her to be blind. Is Maud and Addie widows or is there husbands still living. Where does Dave and Charley live at?
What is Lee working at in McAlester. How big a family does he have? What has become of his boy by his first wife? Well I have a very dear friend that lives there in Bartlesville She is an elderly lady by the name of Ruth that is her surname. She lives with her son and he works for the G. G. Oil Company there (could be C. C.) in town, your husband may know him.
