Artie Quinton was born October 30, 1912 to Robert Pierce and Bessie (Howard) Quinton, north of Mill Creek on the Sallie Gaddis allotment. At the age of 17 months his mother passed away and his dad let his grandparents Ben & Martha Howard raise him with all of their children whom they loved as their own brother.
Artie passed away January 24, 2013, in Sulphur at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 24 days. He touched many lives while on earth living for his Lord.
He married Agnes McClure on February 6, 1937 in Sulphur. She preceded him in death July 25, 2000, after 63 years 5 months and 19 days of marriage.
Artie went to Bellwood school north of Mill Creek. He spent his working career for the Daube Ranch and loved every minute of it. He worked for them for 47 years and was still able in October to attend their annual Bar-B-Que . He always counted them as family and he was treated like a king. He had served in the US Army as a Corporal.

His life was living for the Lord, his family, his work and his church. He was a member of the Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 64 years. He had served as a deacon, teacher, youth leader and anywhere else the Lord wanted him. He loved to talk to people and tell his stories. God gave him a wonderful memory and he was glad to use it.

Survived by his Daughter & husband: Janet & Bobby Crenshaw of Mill Creek,OK. Granddaughter & husband: Deanna Gordon & Tony, of Mill Creek,OK. Grandson: Billye Bob Crenshaw of Mill Creek,OK. Great Grandson & wife: Bryan & Brittanie Gordon of Sulphur, OK. Great Grandson: Quinton Ty Crenshaw of Mill Creek, OK. Great Great Granddaughter: Bayley Gordon of Sulphur, OK. and Bayley is expecting a little brother or sister in May. Half-sister: Betty Clark of Mill Creek,OK. Special brothers-in-law: Arvel Pitmon & Harmon Clark, Special nieces he helped raise, Bonnie Pitmon Clark and Arvella Pitmon Northrip, and many many friends. A very special friend that God send to watch over Artie in the nursing home, John Miller. He wouldn't have made it without his guardian angel.

Pallbearers will be Don Payne, Jackie Pitmon, Bill Patrick, Thomas Stephens, Clyde Runyan, and Sam Daube. Honorary bearers: Clayton Pryor, John Miller, Billy Pittman, Neal McDonald, Mike Pitmon, A.D. Jordon .

Services: 2:00PM Monday January 28, 2013 at Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Re. Frank Trent, Rev. Darryl Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.
