Victor served as a First Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-17 "Ready Freddie" #42-102937, 412nd Bomber Squadron, 95th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided North Carolina prior to the war.

Victor died in the "Line Of Duty" when his B-17, while landing at Duxford airfield, England, clipped a warning beacon on the tower and rolled over on its back and hit an 83rd Fighter Squadron barrack during the war. He had previously been awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.

He was originally interred in England and was later repatriated here in 1948.

Fourteen airmen perished in this accident. Four Crew Members on the B-17, 9 passengers on the B-17, and 1 airmen in the barracks. (see below).
