Alma Jean Gregory Blankenship, 84, of Clear Fork, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 14, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She is a member of the Advent Christian Church.

She was born on January 16th, 1936 in Gates, WV to the late Arlie "Morgan" Gregory (1892-1977) and Bessie Anna Bowes-Gregory (1908-1979). In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blankenship (Deceased); her first husband, Thurmon H. Mullins (1912-Deceased) whom she married on January 7, 1965 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, Page 68, Application Date: January 5, 1965); he died before 1968; second husband, Walter Acord (1936-1978) whom she married on April 6, 1968 in Baileysville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1968, Page 425, Application Date: March 25, 1968); sisters, Alva Lea Gregory-Blankenship (1933-1978), and Margaret Gregory-Short (Deceased); brothers, Arlie Gregory (1932-Deceased), Kenneth R. Gregory (1943-2015), and Donald Bowes (Deceased); son, Darrell Blankenship (Deceased); brothers-in-law, Jim McVey (Deceased), Clyde Kidd (Deceased), Johnny Anderson (Deceased), and Willie Marcum (Deceased).

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Mullins & wife Pamela of Hendersonville, TN and Michael “Mike” Blankenship of Clear Fork; a daughter, Lisa Ross & husband Jerry Ross of White Sulphur Springs; four sisters, Edna Pearl Gregory-McVey (B. 1938) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Norma Jean Gregory-Jennelle-Marcum (B. 1946) of Vackaville, CA, Mary Anna Gregory-Anderson (B. 1929) of Princeton, and Rema Gregory-Kidd of Martinsville, VA; sisters-in-law, Maxine Gregory, Mary Gregory, and Arlene Bowes; four grandchildren, Shawn Blankenship & wife Misty Blankenship, Jessica Lusk, Kalea Ross and Taia Ross; five great-grandchildren, Dereck Blankenship, Dillion Blankenship, Iris Klaiber, Shaina Sumpter and Matiya Lusk; two great-great-grandchildren Jensen and Alivia; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Erwin Gregory and Rev. Eddie Bee Aliff officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends visit with the family from 12:00 pm until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
