A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Neves A. Esponge, 64, a native of Cut Off and resident of Galliano, who died at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until funeral time today at the church.
Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He was the husband of Annabelle St. Pierre Esponge of Galliano; father of Michael Esponge of Fort Gibson, Okla., Vicki E. Lasseigne and Reed Esponge, both of Galliano and Laura E. Cheramie of Lafayette; brother of Venice J. Esponge of Lockport and Pearl E. Anselmi of Cut Off. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Venice A. Esponge and Enola Hebert Esponge; and one grandson.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
