Richard L. "Zeke" Britcher, age 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Richard was born June 16, 1925, in Clarence, Iowa to Myron and Gailee (Moore) Britcher. Mr. Britcher was in the tire business (Zeke & Harry's Tire) in Cedar Rapids and also had worked as a truck driver. During WW ll he served in the Navy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa. Following the services Mr. Britcher's body will be cremated with inurnment on Friday at 1:00pm at the Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be held at from 9:00am until the service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Richard is survived by sons Gregory (Patrica) of Pleasant Hill and Gary Lou (Marcia) of Cedar Rapids; daughter Becky (Wendall) Robinson of Texas; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters Laura Oberholser of Clarence and Becky Long of Cedar Rapids; brothers Harold of Cedar Rapids, Gary of Tuscon, Az, Billy of Iowa Falls and Henry of Davenport.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Charis, son Rodney, great-grandchild Cheyenne Davis and sister Margaret Gehrls.
