Mrs. Lillian Abbott Hurt, age 81, of Hampton passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her Residence. Mrs. Hurt was born in Barnesville to the late Mr. Andrew Jackson Abbott and to the late Mrs. Mittie Barksdale Abbott. Over the years Mrs. Hurt made her home in Barnesville, Atlanta, Griffin, and Hampton. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Griffin. Mrs. Hurt graduated from Gordon Military High School and also attended Gordon Military College. Later in life she loved raising dogs.
Survivors include her Husband Mr. James "Jimmy" Terry Hurt of Hampton ; a Son - Mr. Kenneth S. Hurt of Atlanta ; a Daughter - Mrs. Susan Hurt King (& Tim) of Collierville, Tennessee ; a Granddaughter - Mia King of Collierville, Tennessee ; Nieces and Nephews - Frank Abbott ; Danny Abbott ; Jimmy Abbott ; Bobby Abbott ; Billy Abbott ; Barbara Owen ; Phyllis Mouldin ; Tim Mitchell ; Cathy Tedder ; & Chuck Abbott.
