MOULTON – James Troupe Hale, retired farmer of Hillsboro 1, died Tuesday in Lawrence County Hospital after a short illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Allen Nuby and the Rev. Floyd Parker will officiate, with burial in Smyrna cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Dena Hale; a daughter, Mrs. Homer White, Hillsboro 1; two brothers, John Hale, Moulton 4; and Jess Hale, Courtland 1; eight grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Mr. Hale was a native of Blount County but a resident of Lawrence County a number of years. The body was to be returned home this afternoon and remain there until time for services.
