Married [1] 12 Feb 1891 Ida May MITCHELL,daughter of Anderson MITCHELL & Mary Susan THORNBURG. They had the following children: Howard Eure, Mildred May (George M MILLER), and Paul Edward (1899-1900)


Married [2] Della Bevie GOZA and their children are: Henry W, Maude (Jacob RITTER), Theta (Velmer SHELDON), and Hazel (Floyd WRIGHT).

Advance, April 25 - Robert Lee ("Bob") Barks, 78 years old, a farmer, died at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home here. He was born April 15, 1871, and had resided here a number of years.
The body was taken to Morgan Funeral Home and services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church, with Rev. Sam Bohnenkamp in charge. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George Miller of Marble Hill, Mrs. Velmer Sheldon of Dearborn, Mich., Mrs. Floyd Wright of Bell City and Mrs. Jacob Ritter of Advance; a son, Henry Barks of Advance; three brothers, Tom Barks of Marble Hill, John Barks of Cape Girardeau, and A.J. Barks of Bell City; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Davis and Mrs. Alvin Bollinger of Bell City; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
