E. G. May, 86, passed away at the home of his son, John May, at Clinton, at an early hour this morning after a short illness.

Besides the son at whose home he died, he is survived by the following children: Sam and C. A. May of the city, Ernest May of Newberry and J. B. May of Winter Park, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Puckett of the city and Mrs. Clara Bell Shepherd of Clinton.

The following will serve as honorary pallbearers: J. F. Cheek, W. T. Kennent, Fair Willard, John Harris, Rance Foster, J. M. Crow.

The following will serve as active pallbearers: Raymond Austin, Max Jeter, J. B. McAbee, Will coleman, Charlie Thompson, I. M. Willard.

The funeral services will be held Friday morning at the Edgar Funeral Home at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. C. W. Nallev, the internment following in Rosemont Cemetery.

The body will remain at the funeral home.
