Louis A. Eschle moved to Portland, Oregon when he was 5 years old. He married Edith M. Carter in 1914. In 1924, they moved to Klamath Falls.

Louis was a butcher and worked for Piggly Wiggly and for Carl Steinsifer. In 1931, he went into partnership with Frank Weaver and they opened the Quality Market on Main street. In 1934, Louis bought Frank's interest in the business. He sold that business and moved to Medford because of health issues.
