Funeral services were held Nov. 1 for Carolyn Bay of Big Pine, following her death Oct. 27, 1983 at Northern Inyo Hospital, she was 82. Bishop Donald Christiansen of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiated at the service held at the Big Pine Community Methodist Church. Burial was in Big Pine Crocker Cemetery. Mrs. Bay was born April 22, 1901 in Silverton, Colorado. She is survived by one son Bob Bay of Bishop and three grandchildren: Dave and Kenneth Bay of Big Pine and Cindy Bay of Anchorage, Alaska. Mrs. Bay was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kearsarge Chapter 387, in Independence. Donations in her memory are suggested to the Northern Inyo hospital Equipment fund or Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
