FORT WORTH - Minnie Schikman Meinstein, 86, a retired real estate agent, died Thursday at a local retirement center.

Funeral: Noon Sunday at Kornbleet Chapel in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Burial: Ahavath Sholom Cemetery.

Minnie Meinstein, a native of Savron, Russia, was preceded in death by her husband, Abe Meinstein, in 1959. She was a former resident of Houston, Dallas and Waco. She and her family moved to Fort Worth in 1955. In Houston, Mrs. Meinstein and her late husband were among the original founders of the Houston Jewish Home for the Aged. In Fort Worth, was associated with Helen Painter & Co. Realtors until her retirement. A member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom, Mrs. Meinstein was also a member ofthe Haddassah and B'nai Brith.

Survivors: Sons, Edward Meinstein and his wife, Leanna, of Seattle, Wash., Dr. Charles Meinstein and his wife, Janet, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marvin Meinstein; daughter, Rachelle Meinstein Mills of Houston; daughter-in-law, Sandy Meinstein of Waco; grandchildren, William, Jacob, Sarah, Ahuva, Adam, Mark, David, Amy and Larry Meinstein and Keri Mills; six great-grandchildren; brother, Edel Schikman and his wife, Freida, of Baytown; and several nieces and nephews.
