Park Valley, March 5 - Mrs. Annie Berger Hirschi, one of the early pioneers of the valley, died here recently of cancer of the stomach.

Mrs. Hirschi was loved and respected by all with whom she came in conatact, always sympathetic and kind. She had lived in park Valley since 1867. Mrs. Hirschi, with her husband, the late Christian Hirschi, moved to Park Valley from Murray. She was born in Switzerland, Oct. 1, 1860, and accepted the gospel in her native land. She came to this country in 1860. Mr. Hirschi died in 1908.

Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Hirschi, four of whom are living. They are Bishop David Hirschi and Fred Hirschi of Park Valley, Mrs. Harland A. Valentine of Brigham and Mrs. Adam Larsen, Jr., of Park Valley. Mrs. Hirschi also leaves a sister, Mrs. Rose Williams of La Grande, Or., and three brothers, Christian, John and Gottlieb Berger of Murray.

Funeral services were held in the Park Valley meetinghouse, March 4, bishop's counselor James Palmer presiding. The speakers were Jacob Kunzler, James Palmer, Sr., and A. M. Seely. Misses Anderson, Kallahan and Gustaveson sang a selection, besides numbers by the choir.
