Dr. W. L. Beauchamp Is Called By Death
Impressive funeral services for Dr. Walter L. Beauchamp, 53, were conducted from the graveside in the Williamson Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. S. Hill, pastor of the Griffin circuit, and Rev. M.M. Maxwell, pastor of the first Methodist Church in Griffin, officiated. Interment was in the Williamson Cemetery with Frank S. Pittman, funeral director, in charge. Pallbearers were C. P. Scott, Wallace Williams, Clifford Yarborough, W. P. Blanton, T. E. Drewry and J. P. Wallace. Dr. Beauchamp died Saturday afternoon at the Strickland Memorial Hospital. The son of the late Dr. J. C. Beauchamp and Ella Gregg Beauchamp, of Williamson. He practiced medicine until declining health forced him to retire several years ago. Surviving are his widow, three sisters, Mrs. A. P. Dickinson, of Williamson, Mrs. Hunton Allen, of Rome, and Mrs. W. H. Meacham, of Atlanta, and one brother, Paul Beauchamp, of Williamson.
