Father - James W. Campbell
Mother - Sophie A. Henry, niece of Patrick Henry of historical significance.
He married Mary Jane "Mollie" Reed on 31 March 1868, Morgan County, Missouri.
Lt., 3rd Cav. Regt of MO, Civil War

The Honorable John Tyler Campbell was a historical figure in Santa Rosa. (I have searched the Reed, Campbell, Drummond family.)

Santa Rosa, California, obituary headline of his death reads: "JUDGE CAMPBELL WHO WROTE CITY'S CHARTER DIES, AGED 94" and "Dean of Sonoma County Bar Association and Widely Known Attorney, Ill but Few Days."
Also printed the fact that "he once the spokesman of the United States in foreign lands (served as Consul in Germany and China), distinguished soldier, lawyer, author and brilliant orator."
"From 1871 to 1873 he was a member of the state legislature and once served as speaker of the house. In 1874 Judge Campbell became Santa Rosa's first city attorney... became his duty to frame the city's first charter." He also traced his kinship to President John Tyler. (what happened to this family info?)

Children: daughter Lucy Elizabeth Campbell (married Drummond) and
son Ross Campbell. Both were deceased when John Tyler Campbell died. Drummond grandchildren inherited his estate.
