Fritz left Bremen, Germany in 1882 and arrived in Baltimore, MD in November of that year. He then made his way to McHenry Co., IL.

While still in Germany Fritz met and married Elizabeth Deuchil. They had 3 sons together: Frederick William, Otto and Heinrich "Henry".

Fritz was my step 3great grandfather, but my step-grandpa was as real a grandpa to me as you can get.
