Born May 12, 1917 in Heber City, Utah to Isaac and Thea Anderson Jacob. Nort married his sweetheart Vesta Twitchell on August 15, 1941 in the Logan Temple. Together they spent 67 years raising a family, enjoying their grandchildren, serving a mission to Minnesota, and working in the Provo Temple. Nort was an ambitious, hardworking man who made his living as a wool grower. He prided himself for having the largest lambs sent to market. He loved fishing and the mountains. He was a BYU fan and enjoyed all sports.
Survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters, Sherrill of Orem; Jerry (Kaye), Charles (Lana), O'leah (Jeffery) Brown all of American Fork; Kathryn (Johnny) Jacobs, Oregon; Isaac, Margie Patterson of Provo; John (Diane), Eagle Mountain; his sister Venice (Boyd) Fugal of Pleasant Grove; 37 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two grandsons, one sister and four brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the American Fork 14th Ward Chapel, 396 North 1100 East. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Saturday at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Provo City Cemetery.
