John's mother was in labor with John on Christmas Eve and not wanting to miss Santa with his two older sisters their parents hurriedly opened gifts. His dad talked about this being one of two times (the younger two children's births) he was able to run all the red lights in San Francisco (with a Police escort for John's delivery.) John Walter was named after both grandfathers. He was loving called Baby John John by his sisters. It was said that John died from hemophilia but he died sick to his stomach, not bleeding. Years later his mom said with current knowledge that she thought he died from being poisoned by hexachlorophene.
