News was received here Sunday of the death of W.A. Boone of Le Compte, which sad event occurred in a hospital at that place early Sunday afternoon. Mr. Boone was an older brother of the local tax assessor, the Hon. G.R. Boone, and was a son of the late Judge J.T. Boone. He was born and reared in the parish but later moved to the southern part of the state where he was married and reared a family.
He has many friends throughout the state who mourn his passing, and deepest sympathy is extended the bereaved family. He is survived by his wife, several children, one sister, and two brothers. Interment was made Monday at Le Compte where he has lived for a long time.
