Marianne McCully-Sanders, 67 years old, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 13, 2008, in Tacoma.
Marianne was born October 25, 1940, in Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Sanders Jr., her mother, Victoria J. Hill, her adopted father, William H. McCully Jr., and a stepfather, Raymond D. Hill, a cousin, Betty Love, all of Pocatello, Idaho.
Marianne worked for Washington State Employment Security Department, Department of Social and Health Services, Association for Retarded Citizens, Jessie Dyslins Boy's Ranch, Excalibur Cutlery Shop, Safeway, Albertson's, and Cindy's Donut Shop. She was also an assistant leader for Camp Fire Girls and Girl Scouts.
Marianne leaves behind four daughters, Victoria L. Kelly of Tacoma, Wash., Shirley A. McCaster (Brian) of Harker Heights, Texas, Karen H. Henderson of Tacoma, Wash., Juanita M. Sapp (Michael) of Pt. St. Lucie, Fla.; six grandsons, Jimmie A., Terelle, Michael Jr., James Jr., Kevin L., Derrick J.; one granddaughter, Jarie A.; and two great grandsons, Devontae and Devian; brother, Charles W. McCully (Petra) of Pueblo, Colo.; and a cousin, Darlene Frazier (Leonard) of Pocatello, Idaho.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 1 p.m. at New Life Christian Church, 1804 Tacoma Avenue South, Tacoma, Wash. Interment will be at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood, Wash., with Pastor Jerome Collins officiating.
