Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Boynton of Houston, widow of A. L. Boynton, a former prominent Lufkin businessman, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Jack Carswell Funeral Home Chapel in Houston. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lufkin.

Mrs. Boynton died Sunday night in a Houston hospital after a long illness. She was born in San Augustine County and had resided in Houston for 25 years. She was a member of the Bering Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include son, A. L. Boynton, Jr. of Houston; sister, Miss Margaret Dickerson of Houston; grandsons, Albert L. Boynton, III, Timothy Kirk Boynton and Kyle Daymon Boynton, all of Houston; a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sidney Boynton, Jerry Johnston, Harry Martin, Charlie Bobbitt, R. E. Tedishi and Horace Menking.
