Mr. Avery died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at his residence. Visitation hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 8:00 A.M. until service time.
Mr. Avery was born December 4, 1927 in Bossier City, Louisiana; he was a native of Sulphur. He was a member of Christian World Ministries in Lake Charles. Jessie loved to travel and at one time had lived in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a cofounder and the President of Aquatec Engineering.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Gary W. Avery. Survivors include, his wife, Avonelle Regge Avery, six sons, Billy Avery of Houston, TX; Larry Avery and his wife Fran of Sulphur, Gary L. Avery of Lake Charles, Michael Racca and his wife Sherie of Fenton, Craig Avery and his wife Kim of Sulphur, six grandchildren, Eric, Terry, Jessica, Kristina, Jonathan, one great grandson, Jackson, a number of nieces and nephews.
