Mrs. Martha Jane Harmon, 94, was a member of the Methodist Church, having become a member at the age of 18. IN 1850, she married James H. Kitchen and to this union, seven children were born, three of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Kitchen moved to Texas in 1856. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Martha Kitchen married J.F. Harmon in 1874. He preceded her in death. To this union was born one child, who also survives.

Services were held in the Deer Creek Cemetery officiated by Rev. F.A. Banks, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South in Katemcy. Mrs. Harmon was a resident of Brownwood, formerly a resident of Mason County.

Survived by four children; 34 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
