Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Clendenin, she was the daughter of the late Noah V. "Jake" Mullins (1897-1985) and Pansy E. Mullins (1901-1983).
Mrs. Acord was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clint Acord (1928-1977); a son, James Edward Acord (1952-1971); a brother, Leon "Cotton" Mullins (1924-1983); and a sister, Eva Mullins-Byrd (Deceased).
Survivors include two special friends, Betty Williams and Thelma Cook, both of Hotchkiss; three nephews, John Jarett of Kenova, Tommy Foreen of Louisville, Ky., and Roger Foreen of Meadow Bridge; two nieces, Kathy Byrd of Thomasville, N.C., and Jo Ann Jarett of Kenova; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and 17 great-great nieces and nephews.
