Franklin John Malmstrom, 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on July 21, 2008 surrounded by his family.

Frank was born July 12, 1934 to Wallace and Selma Malmstrom. He married Carol Wendel on Nov. 15, 1962. Together they had six children and 16 grandchildren. Frank spent most of his life working hard farming in the fields of West Jordan. He farmed his family's land until shortly before his passing. When winter set in, you could catch Frank at the top of the mountain pushing 20 foot snow drifts with his dozers. Later in life, Frank's passion became restoring Caterpillar dozers. His collection was growing and he was an authority on those machines and was very proud of his accomplishments. Frank was a devoted father and made every Christmas the best Christmas ever. Frank was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Frank led by example and tried to share the gospel and successfully instilled a good work ethic in his children and grandchildren. He was proud of his family and we were proud of him.

Survived by his wife, Carol; children: Jana, Ken, Larry, Suzanne (Norm) Bateman, John (Shelley), Sheryl (Michael) Rozema; 16 grandchildren; leaves behind his sisters, brother, many nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends that span the states. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert; sisters, Bertha and Edith; many good friends, and his devoted dog, Myfie.
