MONROE, UTAH-John R. Lowe, 75, passed away suddenly from a Heart Attack on Sat. morning, July 19, 2008 at his home in Monroe, Utah.


He was born November 9, 1932 in Austin, Utah, a son of Joseph Lester and Lottie Swain Lowe. He married Mar Kaye Christensen on August 25, 1956 in Monroe, Utah. His greatest joy in life was his sweetheart of 52 years, his loving family, and living the country life. John graduated in 1951 from South Sevier High School. He earned his B.S. degree in geology from BYU in 1955. He was employed by the BLM and U.S. Forest Service, retiring in 1988 with 32 years of service. John was an elder in the LDS Church. His family was always his first priority and he was a treasured husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.


John is survived by his wife, Mar Kaye; daughters: Linda Mar Lowe (life partner, Julie Brown), Kaysville; Alyssa Ann Ruplinger (Adam), Springville; son, Robert Joseph Lowe, Prescott, AZ; sister, Rose Mary Williams, sister-in-law, Beverly Lowe; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one great- grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, infant sister, Betty Lowe; brother, Joseph E. Lowe; sister, Athene Lowe (R. Dale) Hunt.


Funeral Services will be held on Sat., July 26, 2008 at 12 Noon at the Monroe LDS Stake Center (140 South Main Street). Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Fri. from 7-9 p.m. and at the Stake Center on Sat. from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
