OBITUARY:
Alfred Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Peterson, was born near Hope, Indiana, on May 4, 1865 and died June 11, 1925, aged sixty years, one month and seven days. He was united in marriage to Miss Josephine Ellis on October 4, 1894. To this union one child was born, Alberta, who was a great comfort to her father in the latter years of his life. Mr. Peterson had been an employee of the Monon Railroad for forty years. He has won a medal for long and faithful service. On March 31, 1900, he obeyed the gospel of Christ and united with the Bloomfield Christian Church. He was an honored member of the Masonic Order. Mr. Peterson was a kind husband, a devoted father, and a good citizen. He leaves to mourn his going a wife and daughter, and a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the Christian church last Saturday afternoon, the services being conducted by Elder R. H. Jones, pastor. The services at the grave were conducted by the Masons of Bloomfield Lodge No. 84. Interment in Grand View Cemetery.

Old Monon Man Is Dead
Alfred Peterson, at Bloomfield, is dead. He was past 60 years old and had been employed by the Monon for 35 years. For 30 years he was a section foreman on the B. & B. branch. Thirty-one years ago he was married to Miss Josie Ellis, who, with one daughter was graduated from Indiana Tuesday. Mr. Peterson was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, the Railway Trainmen's organization and the Masonic Lodge.
