Dana Michelle West, 42, Blue Springs, Missouri passed away July 18, 2008, at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Visitation will be held 9-10:30 am Wednesday July 23, 2008, at Meyers Funeral Chapel 1600 West Main Blue Springs, MO. 64015 816-229-3276.
Service will follow at the chapel at 10:30 am with burial at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the children's education fund.
Dana was born to Buddy L. and Mary E. LeCrone on March 17, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dana is survived by her husband, of fourteen years George A. West of Blue Springs, MO. Dana will live on in the hearts of George and their four beautiful children, Ryan Walker West, Alex Michael West, and twin daughters Emily Michelle West and Erin Olivia West of the home. Dana is survived by her parents, Mary E. LeCrone of Blue Springs, MO, Buddy LeCrone, M.D. of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Dana is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Goldie McClellan of Texline, Texas, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dana is survived by her family of marriage, Satako Gist of Fairfield, CA, Donald West and Harry Gist of Fairfield, CA and Paulette Rice of Philadelphia, PA. Dana was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Walker McClellan and paternal grandparents, Emory and Olivia Beryl LeCrone, and by her maternal uncle, David McClellan and paternal uncle, Rev. Ted LeCrone.
Dana grew up in Del City, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Del City High School in 1983. Dana attended Oklahoma State University and was an avid Cowboy fan. She was a graduate of the University Of Oklahoma College Of Nursing in 1989 and was licensed as a Registered Nurse in the states of Oklahoma, California, and Missouri. Dana was employed at Centerpoint Medical Center at the time of her death.
Dana enjoyed the love of family and friends and had a special love for her pets and animals. She loved to read mystery novels and watch football. Dana loved to travel and enjoyed time with her husband George and their four children. Dana leaves behind many who loved her and will miss her but she knew that part of God's promise is to reunite us all in heaven.
