She was born April 27, 1925, at Stafford, KS, the daughter of Addison and Clara Belle Titus Bartlett.
She was a graduate of Stafford High School.
She married Walter "Bud" Koontz Jr. July 3, 1946, in Wichita, KS. He died Jan. 25, 1980.
A lifetime Stafford resident, she was a child-care provider. Mrs. Koontz was a member of First United Methodist Church, past member of the Rebekah Lodge and past member of the Stafford Country Club Ladies Golf Association.
Survivors included one son, Walter "Buddy" Koontz of Sedan; one daughter, Debra Koontz of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and six brothers, Bill Bartlett of Wichita, Brad Bartlett of
Topeka, James Bartlett of Ocala, Fla., Benney Bartlett of Apple Valley, Calif., and Glenn Bartlett and Luke Bartlett, both of Denver, Colo.; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
