Charlie was a lifelong Tulsa resident operating Charlie Davis Company from 1978 until retirement around 1996. He was the first building engineer at F&M Bank on Harvard, working there from 1965 until 1978. Charlie was a carpenter foreman for Tulsa Rig & Reel for many years, until F&M was built, and he sought a career change. He proudly served his country for 3 years as a paratrooper in the Korean War.
Charlie is survived by: wife, Joyce of Tulsa; son, Chuck; and daughters, Cathy and Jenni. Grandchildren were very dear to him and he leaves Daris Schell, Stephanie Riley, Talon Adams, Nathan Squires, Trinity Brazel, and Jessie Caleb.
Charlie and Joyce celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 26, 2007. Charlie was the ultimate repair man, he could always fix or repair anything anyone brought to him or called him for.
Charlie wanted to donate his body to science and Big Gift received his body. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, on Friday, June 27, at Kirk of The Hills Presbyterian Church. An honor guard will follow with a reception at the church following the service. Charlie was a friend of Bill W. and greatly enjoyed the fellowship.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to 12 & 12 Inc. in Charlie's name at 6333 East Skelly Drive, Tulsa, OK. 74135. The family wishes to thank the nurses at St. Francis Hospital for taking care of Charlie during his brief stay. Thank you for all the prayers we have received. Charlie was a much loved husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, and brother; we will miss him very much.
