Michael E. Vavro, 56, of Reed Street died at 2:51 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.

Mr. Vavro worked at Wal-Mart and enjoyed photography, electronics, computers and anything to do with science.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. John McKay officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. Vavro was born in Columbus, Aug. 29, 1951, the son of John M. and Thelma A. VanBlairicum Vavro.

He is survived by many cousins, friends, co-workers and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cassie Mae Drab.
