Deceased Name: DEATH: EUNICE STOKER SOUTHWICK

Eunice Stoker Southwick, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Life Care Center in Bountiful, Utah on August 20, 1996, after a lingering illness.

She was the sixth of eleven children born to Jesse and Lettie Hammon Stoker on March 2, 1912, Roy, Utah. She married Lee Southwick in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan 23, 1930. They had six children, four of whom died in infancy.
Surviving two children are, Duane (Colleen) Southwick, of Bountiful, Utah and Clair (MaryAnn) Southwick, of El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lee, grandson, Kent, five brothers, two sisters, and her parents. Surviving brothers are, Lee H. Stoker (Amy), of Othello, Washington; and Allen V. Stoker (Betty), of Roy, Utah; sister, Verda S. Nelson (Willard), of Salt Lake City.

She was a devoted Latter-day Saint holding many church positions, Relief Society president, Young Women president, Sunday School teacher, organist, Seminary teacher and temple ordinance worker. Also a gifted musician playing in an orchestra many years.

She served as town clerk in Roy when it became incorporated. After living in Roy many years, she moved to Ukiah, Calif. Later moved to Willits, Calif, where she served as city clerk. Upon retirement she and Lee returned to Utah living in the Salt Lake City and Bountiful areas.

Funeral services to be held Saturday, August 25, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Roy First Ward, 5850 South 2575 West, Roy, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment-Roy Stoker Memorial Cemetery, Roy, Utah.
