Frances Bedwell Nash

Frances Bedwell Nash, 83, Terre Haute, formerly of Shelburn, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Vicksburg to Sherman and Mary Goodman Chubb. She was retired from Louise's Restaurant, Terre Haute. She was a member of the Shelburn Chuch of God.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leland Bedwell, who died in 1960.

Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Nash; one son, Michael Bedwell, Terre Haute; five step children, Norma Jean Asbury, Ernestine Alumbaugh, Lois Kimerling, Arnold Nash and Philip Nash; one sister, Ruth Haskell, Terre Haute; several step-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mattox-McHugh Shelburn Chapel with the Rev. Franklin Rose officiating. Burial is in West Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Frances Bedwell Nash, 83, died Thursday in her Terre Haute home.

She was born February 6, 1914, in Vicksburg to Mary and Sherman Chubb.

Her first husband, Leland Bedwell, preceded her in death in 1960.

She is survived by her second husband, Wilbur Nash; one son Michael Bedwell; one sister, Ruth Haskell; one sister-in-law, Joan Chubb; five stepchildren, Norma Jean Asbury, Ernestine Alumbaugh, Lois Kimberling, Arnold Nash and Philip Nash; and several nieces and nephews; in-laws Pauline Hancock, Herman Nash and Lawrence Nash; and several stepgrandchildren.

She was retired from Louise's Restaurant where she was employed for ten years and was a faithful member of the Shelburn Church of God.

Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mattox-McHugh Shelburn Chapel with the Rev. Franklin Rose officiating. Burial is in West Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
